The Ian Dury Film….
Wednesday, February 10th, 2010Sex and Drugs and Rock and Roll was ok. Great acting and it looked good but I reckon there is a craft to storytelling which this film lacked. It may be something to do with biopics that makes for weak storytelling – that lives are just too messy to be squared away into some sort of neat drama.
However I was very much taken by the Virgin media short that was shown with it. It was called “Making The Difference” and it was about cakes.
